Many SUNY Schools Rank Among the Nation’s Best in 2020 U.S. News & World Report’s Best College Rankings

It’s that time of year again: fall is upon us, school is back in session, and for many students, it may mean starting the college search. On the surface, this can be a daunting task, as there are many schools to choose from in New York and nationwide. In order to make the process less overwhelming, students and their support systems need a reliable source that provides them with in-depth information on our nation’s colleges and universities. One such resource, which is widely used nationwide, is the yy苍苍私人影院免费动漫, which recently released its lists for 2020.

In its 35th year, the rankings compare bachelor’s degree-granting institutions throughout the U.S. on a number of measuresthat determine academic quality. Specific statistics used in the rankings calculations include average ACT/SAT scores, student-faculty ratios, graduation rates, financial aid, figures on post-graduate employment, and more. The breakdown of the ranking factors is as follows: outcomes (35%), which is comprised of graduation and retention (22%), graduation rate performance (8%), and social mobility (5%); faculty resources (20%); expert opinion (20%); financial resources (10%); student excellence (10%); and alumni giving (5%).

New this year, U.S. News ranked schools on the following programs to add to the breadth and depth of the individual lists:

  • Senior capstone
  • Service learning
  • Study abroad
  • Undergraduate research/creative projects
  • Writing in the disciplines

These rankings serve to reinforce our commitment to delivering an individualized education experience for all students, regardless of their background and circumstances. I applaud the staff and faculty who work tirelessly to ensure SUNY’s place among our nation’s colleges and universities.
